Be the last player who can still move. The board shrinks every turn — trap all of your opponent's pieces and you win. There are no draws.
In fixed-start games the very first turn is move-only (no destroy).
Merge: move onto a friendly unit to combine them (max height 3). Split: peel one piece off a stack of 2+ onto an adjacent empty tile — uses the whole action. Taller stacks move farther, and can jump over holes, rubble, and shorter enemies — reach equals their height.
You win when none of your opponent's units can move, merge, or split at the start of their turn. Boxed-in units turn grey; a counter by the turn indicator shows how many of yours can still move.
